AYARIGA ‘PUNCHES’ NANA ADDO …Over Borrowing
THE FOUNDER and leader of the All People’s Congress (APC), Hassan Ayariga, has descended heavily on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, saying that borrowing had become the order of the day under his administration.
According to the maverick politician, if the NPP government was not checked in time, they would borrow and leave a huge debt for the future generation of Ghanaians.
“President Nana Akufo-Addo’s government borrows too much. In fact, they have borrowed more in less than 2 years, as compared to the NDC’s 8 years in office”.
The APC chieftain said that the NPP government had decided to rely on borrowing to support the budget for next year “and that is dangerous for the country”.
Describing the 2019 Budget as a ‘Sleeping Budget’, Hassan Ayariga noted that he doesn’t see the NPP administration implementing any better policies to develop the country.
He also criticized the Finance Minister, Ken Ofori Atta for presenting the budget as if he was on a campaign platform.
“Ken Ofori-Ata did not present a budget; he was rather delivering his boring speech as if he was on a political platform campaigning for votes.
“The Finance Minister is also a bad communicator as he delivered his message in a boring manner, which led to several people sleeping in parliament house”.
Speaking on UTV, Ayariga slammed the NPP for failing to perform so far, saying “The NPP talks like angels but they act like Satan”.
