Baako calls on Nana Addo to change CID Boss
Abdul Malik Kweku Baako, Editor-in-Chief of the New Crusading Guide Newspaper believes Director General of the Criminal Investigations Department of the Ghana Police Service COP Maame Tiwaa Addo Danquah should be out of her current position.
According to him, the CID Boss comments over the Takoradi missing girls constitutes to shameful act adding that, it would be appropriate if deployed into another sector of the police service.
This comes after her U-turn, suggesting that her claim that the CID knew the whereabouts of the three missing Takoradi girls had been misinterpreted.
“I made that comment because I wanted to give hope to the mothers but I have been misconstrued. Maybe people didn’t understand me. For timelines, I cannot say.
“I just want to assure everyone that the search is still on. We are not sleeping at all,” COP Addo Danquah told Accra-based Atinka TV marking a sharp contrast from her “we know where the girls are” position in April.
Speaking on Saturday Newsfile political talk show on JoyNews TV and Joy FM, Kweku Baako described the CID boss’ latest comment as unfortunate and heartbreaking.
”“She can apologise but they should find ways to redeploy her in the same system. Her statements over the past weeks are so unfortunate” he said.
