Francis Asenso-Boakye, a Deputy Chief of Staff, has urged the affluent and well-to-do-in society to support government to develop the country.
He explained that nation building is a collective responsibility of every citizenry so the well-to-do people in the country should contribute their quota.
Asenso-Boakye made the appeal when he donated a brand new and fully stocked ambulance to the Suntreso Government Hospital in Kumasi.
The medical facility, which is located in the Bantama Constituency, also received hospital beds, infrared thermometers and other medical equipment.
Asenso-Boakye explained that his largesse was in response to an appeal made to him by the hospital, adding that he felt very happy to assist the hospital.
According to him, he was born and bred at Bantama therefore he believes that it is his civic and social responsibility to give back to Bantama for the people to benefit.
Dr. Agyarko-Poku, Medical Superintendent, Suntreso Government Hospital, praised Asenso-Boakye for always donating handsomely to the hospital.
Osei Assibey-Antwi, the Kumasi Mayor, said Asenso-Boakye has virtually donated to every medical facility in Kumasi, saying “we are grateful to him”.
