Deputy Chief of Staff, Asenso-Boakye, has donated hand sanitizers to market women at the Race Course in Kumasi.
The largesse is Asenso-Boakye’s own way of helping to properly protect the market women against the Covid-19 virus.
In all, the Deputy Chief of Staff, presented 1,000 pieces of hand sanitizers, which are to be distributed to the market women.
It was all merrymaking in the busy market on Friday when representatives of Asenso-Boakye donated the hand sanitizers.
Afia Pomaah, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Women Organizer for Bantama, handed over the items on behalf of Asenso-Boakye.
She said Asenso-Boakye cares a lot about the market work and so he decided to use his own resources to buy the hand sanitizers.
According to her, the market women are vulnerable as they engage with different types of people on a daily basis in the busy market.
Afia Pomaah said the hand sanitizers would help protect the market women, who handles money, against the deadly virus.
The market women were seen showering tons of praises on Asenso-Boakye, who they described as an effective leader.
Asenso-Boakye is the favourite in the NPP Bantama Constituency parliamentary elections, scheduled for next month.
