Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, together with the Chief of Staff, Frema Osei-Opare, Senior Minister Yaw Osafo-Maafo, Central Regional Minister Kwamena Duncan, former works and Housing Minister Kwamena Bartels led a government delegation to pay their last respect to the late Isaac Edumadze over the wekend.
Late Edumadze who was laid to rest last Saturday was a former Central Regional Minister in the erstwhile John Kufuor administration.
The former MP, from 1996 to 2004 represented the Ajumako-Enyan-Esiam Constituency in Ghana’s parliament.
Isaac Edumadze passed away in January this year at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital, where he was receiving treatment for an ailment.
Mr. Edumadze, aged 61, was also a prominent agriculturist in the Ajumako area in the Central Region where he hailed from.
Vice President Dr Bawumia on his facebook wall writes “Hon Edumadze was a great servant of Ghana and the NPP. He served in various key positions before becoming the first Central Regional Minister under President Kufuor. It is with a heavy heart that we bid him farewell today, May his soul rest in perfect peace.” Dr. Bawumia mourned the former RM on Facebook.
