Ghana’s Vice President, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia on the morning of Sunday June 27, joined Christian worshipers at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Bolgatanga to celebrate the church’s First Mass.
Mass is the central act of worship of the Roman Catholic Church, which culminates in celebration of the sacrament of the Eucharist.
The Vice President urged the congregation to continually pray for Ghana, especially in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic and threats to the country’s national security.
He called for an enhanced and strengthened unity among Ghanaians and the need to guard against any forms of disunity.
“There is more that unites than divides us, and I called on adherents of all religious faiths to work together to protect our well-earned and acclaimed peace and unity”, Dr. Bawumia added.
