Bawumia’s Convoy Involved In Accident

Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia on his way attending the funeral of Yaa Naa Mahamadu Abdulai has been involved in an accident with his convoy on the Yendi-Tamale road.

According to reports, a taxi driver unfortunately crossed the inter-rage of the Vice President.

The taxi rider and a passenger in the car is said to have sustained injuries and was rushed to the Tamale Teaching Hospital for treatment.

The Vice President went with delegation of Defence Minister, Dominic Nitiwul, the Inspector General of the Ghana Police Service, David Asante Apietu, the Member of Parliament for Madina-Abokobi, Sheikh Alhaji Boniface Abubakari Sadique, Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives and some Members of Parliament from the Northern Region among other dignitaries.

Boling-Lana’s installation

The Abudu Family on December 14, 2018 installed the Boling-Lana, Abdulai Mahamudu as the new Regent of Dagbon in line with the roadmap for the performance of the funerals of the two late Overlords of the Dagbon Traditional Area.

It was held at the forecourt of the Gbewaa Palace in Yendi Township.

The installation ceremony was witnessed by dignitaries including the Minister for National Security, Albert Kandapah, the Minister for Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, Kofi Dzamesi, the Northern Regional Minister, traditional authorities and scores of people from all walks of life amidst heavy security presence.
