Bethel Revival Choir’s ‘Enyo’ gains momentum
Bethel Revival Choir, an award-winning Gospel Music Group new single, ‘Enyo’, featuring 2017 VGMA Artiste of the Year, Joe Mettle on the lead vocals is gaining more popularity in the country.
The music group under the Global Evangelical Church (GEC); a vibrant Bible Church that believes in the full manifestation of the gifts and fruit of the Holy Spirit, released ‘Enyo’ as their first single of 2021.
‘Enyo’ which translates to “He (God) is Good” in the Ewe dialect is on the playlist of major radio stations across the country and among the top songs of music charts.
This feet is a result of massive promotional activities the Choir has engaged in and support of partners since the release of Enyo some weeks ago.
Speaking in a recent interview with Giovanni Caleb on Showbiz 360 on TV3, the Choir explained that Joe Mettle has been part of them, for which it became easy to get his participation on ‘Enyo’ and other previous productions.
To them, the connection between the group and Joe Mettle has been over ten years of friendship – explaining there has not been a single project with him bargained on money.
“Joe Mettle has been part of us for a very long time. People always get surprised on how he is most of the time on our songs, at times they get the impression it is because of monetary gain which goes on well between us but it has nothing to do with that. He does it on free will for us, we don’t pay him anything. He has been a good brother and mentor to the group over such a long period” their manager narrated.
Though the Bethel Revival Choir has been ministering for some ten years now, the group gained mainstream recognition after the release of their second album titled ‘Akpe’ in 2018.
The group has a unique way of picking traditional Ghanaian Christian songs and reproducing them with a contemporary flavor.
The Choir is busy in the studio working on their third album set for release later in November or December this year.
The upcoming album is expected to set the pace higher for the group, earn more recognition on the international market, and push greater and higher heights than previous praises they have gained in the country.
The lyrics of the songs on the upcoming album are going to be a prophetic declaration aptly arranged to create a personalized atmosphere for listeners and followers of God.
