Black Stars and Levante forward, Emmanuel Boateng, is set to release his first song as a recording artiste. “Oluwa Dey” will be released on Tuesday, 17 July 2018.
The Spanish La Liga player will be joining the likes of Asamoah Gyan and John Boye as Black Stars players to be doing music while playing football.
Boateng’s single will feature Famouz, a duo of Vincent Adom Baffour and Umar Alidu, whose hit ‘Nufuo no’ enjoyed massive radio airplay in Ghana.
The 22-year-old revealed that his love for singing started in his childhood at church.
“It is always important to remember where you started life from – the difficulties, the struggles, the challenges and how far God has brought you.
“And if the blessing of God is in your life, no man can destroy it; when the hand of God is in your life, whatever the devil will do will never be successful.
“Wherever good things are that’s where the devil’s eyes are, so it is always important to give glory to the Lord for what He has done and about to do.”
Boateng, who assumed the nickname ‘Barca Slayer’ after leading Levante’s landmark win to scuttle FC Barcelona’s unbeaten run, had an outstanding first season in Spain.
