BOG TO CONSTRUCT SUSAN BRIDGE For Ahinsan Community
THE DIFFICULTIES that residents of Ahinsan, a suburb of Kumasi, face whilst crossing the Susan Stream, whenever it rains, will be over soon.
This pleasant news has been made possible following Bank of Ghana’s (BoG) decision to construct a modern bridge over the stream as part of its corporate social responsibilities to the community.
The Governor of the BOG, Dr. Ernest Addison, made the announcement during the inauguration of a Data Centre Project at Ahinsan in Kumasi recently.
He further announced that the road network that leads to the Data Centre would also be constructed and given a facelift.
Contributing, Oheneba Akwasi Abayie, representative of the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, lauded BoG for coming out with such a magnificent facility.
He, however, called for the immediate promulgation of laws that would prohibit former and present governors of BoG from establishing their own banks in the country.
“You cannot be a regulator and a player at the same time”, he stressed.
