Bonded Allied Health Graduates Cry for Postings

The President of the Coalition of Bonded Allied Health Graduates, Bright Bell, is calling on the government to post the 500 members of the coalition who are yet to be enraged.

Bright Bell noted that because they have been bonded by the government, they are unable work in private health institutions.

He mentioned that they have been renewing their pin for the past three years, yet they are still at home because government is yet to release their financial clearance for postings.

He noted that the government and the country would continue to lose their services as they remain inactive.

He made the appeal during a day’s workshop for members of the coalition at Kintampo the Brong Ahafo Region.

The workshop was to enable members of the coalition renew their pin, and it was attended by 500 of its members from across the country.

The membership of the coalition include Nutritionists, Medical Laboratory Scientists, Physiotherapists, Dental Technicians, Medical Records, Health Information, Health Promotion, Registered-Dental-Surgery-Assistants, Field Technicians and Disease Control officers.

Topics the participants were taken through include; Quality Assurance, Modern Health Care Challenges and Legal Laws and Patients protection.

He said life has become extremely difficult for the members of the coalition as they have been without work for close to three years.

“The Health Minister assured us of our postings before the year ends, but we are in December, and nothing has happened. This is serious; President Nana Akufo-Addo must do something about the situation.”
