BOST Gurus Meet Otumfuo at Manhyia
A HIGH-POWERED delegation from Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation (BOST) have met and interacted with the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, and to ostensibly introduce their new MD, George Mensa Okley, to the Monarch.
Otumfuo admonished Mr. Okley to work in harmony with the board members so that the unit would experience massive growth, stressing that BOST plays a crucial role in the development of the state, and would thus need a united workforce at all times.
The Asantehene implored the new director to institute policies to help block loopholes in the system. He also tasked him to make sure that all equipment and machines are properly maintained to ensure longevity.
Mr. George Mensa Okley, in his response, outlined his vision for BOST, which includes leveraging on strategic stock to maintain prices and profitability.
He also disclosed plans to list BOST on the stock exchange, expand its infrastructure, and the acquisition of BOST distress assets, among many others.
Again, he told the king that restructuring of existing debt, re-branding, upgrading of terminal and expanding BOSTs trading frontiers into neighbouring countries are his goals.
The delegation commended the Asantehene for his wise counsel, and promised to act upon all that the King had told them.
