Boy 2, Killed for Rituals

A TWO-YEAR old boy has been killed, in what appears to be a ritual murder at Apitikooko, a community near Obuasi, in the Ashanti region.

The boy’s tongue, heart and manhood, were cut off by his killers, who shockingly dumped his almost-decomposing body in the nearby River Awora.

Chuku Joseph, a resident, said the child and his mother, Adwoa Fremah, 19, on Saturday attended a funeral at Apitikooko. He said they later law the devastated mother reaching around and crying that her two-year-old son had got missing.

The entire residents of the town quickly formed a search party and combed everywhere in an attempt to find the child but to no avail.

Chuku disclosed that the town was thrown into a state of confusion when the decomposing body of child was later found in the river, with his vital parts take away.

The police had since deposited the body in the morgue for autopsy to determine the cause of death.
