Braggart Diver Dives To His Death

A SELF-acclaimed expert swimmer got drowned after he dived into the Sisa River at Duase to prove his supposed swimming prowess to on looking doubters.

Osama, the supposed expert swimmer, boasted that he could dive deep into the flooded river and retrieve a bag that had fallen into it.

People present expressed doubts about Osama’s swimming prowess so they dared him (Osama) to retrieve the bag.

Osama, who was eager to prove his critics wrong, then dived into the Sisa River at Duase but he was immediately washed away the moment his body entered the fast flowing river

Attempts to save Osama proved futile from Saturday until Monday that his dead body was eventually found.

Eye witnesses disclosed that it rained heavily at Duase on Saturday and it led to the Sisa River, overflowing its banks.

According to them, a certain woman was passing by when her bag slipped from her hands and fell into the river.

Osama, who was at the scene, then bragged that he was an expert swimmer so he could dive into the river and retrieve the bag.

But Osama was washed away immediately he jumped into the river and he was not seen again until Monday when his dead body was discovered.

Family members of Osama, 40, who are said to live in Truba, in the Kwabre East District, have since come for the body, which is being kept in the morgue.
