BREAKING News: NDC wins Sene West Parliamentary seat with 16 votes
The opposition National Democratic Congress parliamentary candidate has emerged as victorious at the disputed Sene West Parliamentary seat.
After votes in the disputed ballot box were counted at the Techiman Divisional Headquarters after the NPP’s injunction on the count was thrown out by the Wenchi High Court, the NDC candidate had 275 while the NPP gathered 148.
In all, the NDC candidate had 13,116 votes whilst the NPP candidate had 13,100 votes after the cross checking of all the constituency ballots.
Sene West was one of the outstanding seat in the Parliamentary elections which saw the NPP win 137 seats in Parliament whilst the NPP has 136 seats.
A parliamentary seat, in Fomena, was also won by an independent candidate.
