A HUGE bull that somersaulted several times in the air after it was knocked down by a saloon car has become a topical subject in Kumasi and its environs.
The accident happened after a Toyota Yaris car, being used for online taxi services, collided with a speeding tricycle commonly known as ‘Aboboyaa’.
The near-fatal accident was said to have happened in a traffic light on the Asokwa Interchange in Greater Kumasi.
The buy was travelling in the bucket of the Aboboyaa when the accident happened around 12 noon on Saturday.
Reports from eye witnesses said the Toyota Yaris was heading to the Asokwa area from the Ahodwo Roundabout direction.
From nowhere, the Aboboyaa, which was from the Kumasi Abattoir area, crossed the speeding Toyota Yaris vehicle.
The driver of the Toyota Yaris tried to dodge the Aboboyaa but his efforts were in vain and there was a strong collision.
The travelling bull somersaulted several times after the strong impact, which also sent the Aboboyaa off the road.
Surprisingly, despite somersaulting several times, the bull, which suffered bruises on its body, survived the crash.
The Aboboyaa and the Toyota Yaris also had serious defects after the crash, which drew a crowd to the place.
The accident caused a vehicular traffic on the busy road until the faulty car and the Aboboyaa were towed away.
Police are still investigating the circumstances that led to the accident so the culprit could be punished by law.
