Popular Artist Manager, Nana Asiamah Hanson popularly known as BullDog has threatened to sue Ghana Police over what he describes as wrongfully arrest and defamation years ago.
According to him, he feels very hurt with how he was mishandled by the police after he was arrested over the death of former artist Manager, the Late Fennec Okyere as being the prime suspect.
In his latest interview on Okay FM with Halifax Ansah-Addo on the ‘Best Entertainment Show’, Bulldog again recollected the bad experience he went through when he was put behind bars for 2 solid weeks before any investigation was carried out.
“I was put behind bars before the Police did any proper investigation on the murder case of Fennec. They held me on suspicion” he said.
He added “I’ll sue the Ghana Police for wrongful arrest and defamation because it is on record that they have evidence against me…..”
Background
Bulldog, 39, was picked up by the Police Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in 2014 at Kokomlemle, a suburb of Accra, as a prime suspect in Okyere’s death.
The Accra Central District Court discharged him in 2018. The court presided over by Worlanyo Kotoku said that the prosecution has been conspicuously absent in the matter. The court also held that the complainant had also been absent.
“Prosecution not here; complainant not here, at the last hearing date, prosecution has been conspicuously absent. I have no option than to discharge you” Mr. Kotoku noted.
Fennec Okyere was killed at his Manet Gardens residence on the Spintex Road, Accra on Thursday, March 13 by unknown assailants. He died at age 31.
