Car Mechanic Commits Suicide …With Sponge

A car mechanic at Asawase E-Line in Kumasi has in the early hours of Sunday, reportedly committed suicide by hanging himself in his room with a bathroom sponge.

It is not clear what must have compelled Francis Agomeh to end his life. For now residents in the neighbourgood said they spotted his lifeless body hanging in his room around 5am on Sunday.

Most of the residents of the area were seen crying bitterly as the police carried Agomeh’s lifeless body away to the morgue.

Some of the people that spoke to the paper said they were utterly surprised about Agomeh’s sudden demise as he did not show any sign that he was suicidal.

They said 24 hours before the incident he was interacting normally with everybody in the area. He did not also leave behind any suicide note. The police say they will investigate the matter before releasing the body to the family for burial.
