Cash Flow For National Cathedral In Kumasi

VARIOUS INDIVIDUALS and groups, during a mega fund raising ceremony in Kumasi on Thursday, have willingly donated to the building of a National Cathedral.

 

The historic programme was attended by big dignitaries including President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and respected men of God in the country, mostly from the Ashanti Region.

 

The benefactors, who came from different areas, donated huge sums of cash to help in the construction of the national edifice, whose construction is expected to start this year.

 

President Nana Akufo-Addo, in his remarks, said the National Cathedral project is his personal promise to God, ahead of the 2016 elections and he is ready to fulfill it.

 

He appealed to all-and-sundry to support him so that his firm promise to God of building a National Cathedral should he become president, would become a reality.

Project would benefit the country and its people in different ways, stressing that the project is worth investing in it.

 

According to him, aside beautifying the skyline of Accra, the National Cathedral would also serve as international, national and regional pilgrimage for the state.

 

The number one gentleman of the man said the project would also help the country to accrue more money from tourism as it would attract tourists.

 

President Nana Akufo-Addo, still highlighting the benefits of a National Cathedral project, said the edifice would also help to deepen the peace and unity of all faiths in the country.

 

“The cathedral would also serve as the rallying point for the Christian community to come together to worship, pray and promote big national conversations on the role of faith building in the country”
