Ghanaian Chef Ebenezer Smith has successfully completed a remarkable cooking marathon, clocking in an impressive 820 hours of continuous cooking.
With the ambitious goal of setting a new Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual, Chef Smith embarked on his record attempt on February 1, 2024.
Over the course of more than a month, Chef Smith dedicated himself to this extraordinary challenge, showcasing his culinary skills and determination. The finale of his cook-a-thon on March 6, 2024, marked a monumental achievement in his quest for the record.
On March 5, the event drew a star-studded lineup of performers, including Praye Tietia, Yaw Tog, Amerado, Kofi Jamar, and the Asakaa Boys, adding to the festive atmosphere surrounding the cooking marathon.
Throughout the duration of the challenge, a host of celebrities such as Nana Ama McBrown, Clemento Suarez, Kwaku Manu, SDK, and OB Amponsah visited the Amadia Shopping Centre at Spintex to show their support for Chef Smith’s incredible feat.
Sponsored by the Amadia Shopping Centre at Spintex, where the event was held, Chef Smith’s cooking marathon aimed to surpass the official 119-hour record set by Alan Fisher.
The event not only showcased Chef Smith’s culinary prowess but also brought together a community of supporters and well-wishers who cheered him on throughout this impressive feat.
