The Chief of Staff, Akosua Frema Osei Opare ,over the weekend joined mourners at Dansoman to mourn Madam Mary Efua Tekyiwaa Turkson, the mother of celebrated gospel singer, Cindy Thompson.
Madam Turkson passed away in Accra on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at the age of 93.
She had 11 children, Cindy Thompson being the eighth born.
In a glowing tribute to her late mother, Ms Thompson said, “She brought all of us up in perfect love and absolute care”.
“She worked her soul out to take care of all her children, two of whom have passed”.
“My mother was a selfless person, who always thought about the welfare of others more than herself.The Chief delegation was led by the Political Affairs Director at the presidency Frank Asiedu Bekoe and some NPP executives from Ablakuma West constituency
Ms Cindy Thompson and siblings expressed their appreciation to the Chief of Staff for remembering them in their moment of pain by sending delegation to the final funeral rites their mother which was attended by some Ghanaian Artists and Music producers.
