Chief of Staff joins NPP campaign team

THE CHIEF of Staff, Frema Osei Opare has officially joined the Ashanti Regional New Patriotic Party (NPP) Campaign Team for election 2020.

Also making the list are Minister of Agric, Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto, Asokwa MP, Patricia Appiagyei, who is representing NPP MPs in the region and other party gurus.

The committee, tasked to ensure victory for the NPP, is chaired by Bernard Antwi Boasiako aka ‘Wontumi, who is the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NPP.

John Boadu, the NPP General Secretary, who inaugurated the committee in Kumasi on Tuesday, said the NPP must retain political power.

According to him, the party is targeting at least 54 percent of total valid votes cast in order to secure a first round victory on December 7 and nothing can stop that.

In this regard, John Boadu, who sounded very confident for an NPP electoral victory, charged the committee members to quickly hit the grounds and campaign.

He said the ruling political party is banking its hopes on the Ashanti Regional NPP, which is the party’s strongest hold, to win avalanche of votes as they usually do during polls.

John Boadu therefore entreated the NPP members to do away with backbiting and rancour and rather unite as a family and work to win more votes for the party.

Bernard Antwi Boasiako aka ‘Wontumi’, on behalf of the committee, stated emphatically that all the 47 parliamentary seats in the region are for the NPP.

Aside winning all the 47 seats, Wontumi also said that the party is working assiduously to win a whopping 90 percent of votes to help President Akufo-Addo to retain his seat.
