Christiana Awuni Demands Apology From Charlotte Oduro

Ghanaian actress Christiana Awuni has demanded a public apology from counsellor Charlotte Oduro following revelations about her failed marriage.

Christiana Awuni, in a recent interview on Max TV, February 11, 2025, criticized Charlotte Oduro for her past statements on marriage and relationships.

“She needs to apologize and admit she was wrong about marriage. No one knows the future. She has been shaming women with her views, yet she couldn’t uphold them in her own marriage. If she respected her husband, why did they divorce? She was against women wearing wigs and makeup, yet she couldn’t endure her marriage to the end. I thought she believed that staying in marriage until death was a pathway to heaven,” Awuni remarked.

Apostle Solomon Oduro, the husband of the outspoken relationship expert, recently announced their divorce through a press statement. He confirmed that they had been separated for three years before officially dissolving their marriage traditionally last year.

Despite attempts at reconciliation, he cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for their split. Additionally, he accused Charlotte Oduro of being disrespectful, a claim that has sparked disappointment among Ghanaians familiar with her teachings.

Charlotte Oduro has long advocated for women to submit to their husbands under all circumstances. In 2021, she controversially advised women not to leave unfaithful husbands but instead to make them feel more appreciated. Her husband’s claim that disrespect led to their divorce has left many questioning the credibility of her teachings.

In response to the allegations from her ex-husband, Charlotte Oduro addressed the issue in a viral video. She attempted to clarify what men mean when they describe a woman as disrespectful. According to her, men with lower reasoning abilities often misinterpret wisdom as disrespect.

“If a man has limited thinking, he perceives a wise woman as foolish. In our society, when a man says a woman does not respect him, it often means she is wiser than he is, and he cannot comprehend her wisdom,” she explained. She further stated that some men feel intimidated by intelligent women and try to make them appear foolish.

“They will make you question yourself and wonder if something is wrong with you. But the truth is, they just can’t handle what you carry,” she added.

The video gained widespread attention following Apostle Solomon Oduro’s statement on Monday, February 10, 2025, confirming their divorce. In a subsequent video, he reinforced his claim that Charlotte Oduro was disrespectful and failed to submit to him as a wife.
