Black Stars head coach, C.K. Akonnor, yesterday announced his first squad since he got the nod for Ghana’s double-header against Sudan in the AFCON 2021 qualifiers.
The matches mark the resumption of the qualifiers and Ghana will host Sudan in Cape Coast on March 27 and then, go to Sudan for the reverse fixture on March 30.
At a press conference at the Accra City Hotel in Accra, Akonnor revealed a 23-man list for the games which begin this month.
Aduana Stars striker, Yahaya Mohammed, earned a call-up. Joining him in the squad are Hearts of Oak goalie, Richard Attah, Asante Kotoko’s Habib Mohammed and Ashgold defender, Kwadwo Amoako.
Both Ayew brothers – Andre and Jordan – also return to the squad, as well as Atletico Madrid midfielder, Thomas Partey.
Ghana face Sudan in Cape Coast, in the first match on March 27, with the next game in Sunda on March 31.
