CK Akonnor has agreed to sign for Asante Kotoko on a two-year deal as the head coach of the club according to reports. Asante Kotoko are rumoured to have contacted CK Akonnor to be at the helm of affairs of the club.
Ghana FA Cup champions Asante Kotoko are in advanced talks with former Hearts of Oak and Ashanti Gold coach C.K Akonnor to replace Paa Kwesi Fabin, according to reports.
The 44-year-old was spotted in Kumasi last weekend with friends around the secretariat of the club and that has fuelled speculations about his future since he is currently unattached.
The Porcupine Warriors are without a substantive coach following the resignation of Fabin after only seven months in charge of the club, citing personal reasons for his departure.
Paa Kwesi Fabin left the job as the head coach of Asante Kotoko last week after his appointment seven months ago. The former U-17 head coach was believed to have resigned due to money after he was seen negotiating terms with a South African club.
