Coach Bash Decides Future at Dwarfs
COACH BASHIRU Hayford says he will decide his future with Dwarfs after the club’s G8 match with Hearts of Oak on Sunday.
“I will take a decision as to whether I will accept to be Dwarfs’ trainer after our match with Hearts of Oak on Sunday”, he stated on radio.
His comment comes after some fans of the club called for his head for poor performance in the G8 tournament.
“You said some Dwarfs fans are calling for my head”, the celebrated trainer asked the host of a radio sports show, who was interviewing him.
“Tell those Dwarfs fans who want my head that I will add my entire body also so that they would be extremely happy”.
Hayford, who described himself as an incoming trainer, said he was surprised that the fans are demanding his head, saying “I will decide about my future soon”.
He explained that Dwarfs have been performing abysmally in the tournament because most of the first team players had left the club.
“We are playing with just three of the old players; the remaining 8 players are new and so it is like we are rebuilding the team”, he pointed out.
The former Ashgold and Asante Kotoko coach said there is no telepathy in the play of the team currently because the team is ‘new’.
Dwarfs have conceded a staggering 10 goals in two matches in the tournament, igniting anger from fans.
