The Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD) has heightened its door to door campaign to promote the consumption of Ghana made chocolate and cocoa products.
The campaign forms part of the 2022 edition of the National Cocoa Week.
On Sunday February 13, Mr. Joseph Boahen Aidoo, the Chief Executive of COCOBOD, led a delegation to the Calvary Methodist Church, Adabraka, in Accra, to spread the good news about cocoa consumption.
Mr. Aidoo, in his address to the congregants, urged Ghanaians to consume more chocolate and cocoa products to fully benefit from its health and nutritional properties.
On Monday, several #NationalChocolateWeek22 teams were dispatched to distribute chocolate to cocoa farmers and pupils in all the cocoa-growing communities across the country.
The 2022 edition of the National Cocoa Week has a lineup of activities from February 12 to 22 under the theme: “Eat chocolate, stay healthy, grow Ghana” with the sub-theme: “Our chocolate, our health, our wealth”
It is aimed at promoting domestic consumption of locally made chocolate and other cocoa products, as it highlights the health benefits of cocoa and the economic potential of the cocoa value chain.
