Colleague presenters tried snatching my wife – Abeiku Santana

Gilbert Abeiku Aggrey Santana, veteran Ghanaian broadcaster has revealed how his colleague radio presenters tried wooing his wife some fifteen years ago but were very unsuccessful because she never gave in.

According to him, he only got to know a lot of them had made advances at her when he took his turn and told and subsequently won the heart of his love throb.

Speaking on Okay Fm’s late afternoon show, he revealed that he met  Genevieve when he had just closed from his show and relaxing over a bottle of beer and cigarette at a popular spot at Anloga junction in Kumasi.

“I was sitting at a spot close to the total fuel station at Anloga Junction taking my beer and smoking when I saw her passing. I asked they call her and we had a little chat. Later when I told my colleagues, they made mockery of me and told me how they tried but were not given an opportunity. From there I realized I had to change the strategy…we went our separate ways but as nature would have it, we are husband and wife today”, he revealed.

He also revealed that he used to be a chain smoker who could not stay away from the drug which got him high.

“Honestly speaking, I used to smoke very much. So one day, I had finished my show on Ashh FM. After the show, I moved downstairs to take some Apio while I was smoking my cigarette. I saw this fair lady who used to pass by so I asked that they call her for me because I couldn’t have gone to chase a lady and be snubbed because I was a celebrity. She came to where I was enjoying my drink and cigarette and I told her I like her.” He recounted.
