The case count for confirmed cases of coronavirus (Covid-19) in Ghana has increased by over 26 new cases bringing the total to 316 as at today, April 8, 2020.
The update released by the Ghana’s Health Service website said the new confirmation comes after more contacts of COVID-19 patients were traced and their samples tested. The number includes six deaths and 3 recoveries.
“Enhanced contact tracing and testing is ongoing in Ghana and has resulted in [an] increased number of confirmed COVID-19 cases,” the Ghana Health Service said on its website.
However Central Region becomes the 7th Region in Ghana to have confirmed a case.
