An Accra High Court has ordered the West African Examination Council (WAEC) to release the results of 20 candidates whose papers were cancelled after the 2017 Basic Education Certificate Examinations (BECE).
WAEC claimed the candidates of A to Z Preparatory JHS had cheated during the exams and therefore cancelled their results.
The school together with the parents of the affected pupils dragged the examination body to court accusing it of breaching their fundamental human rights.
Proprietor of the school, Godwin Aaron Monyo, said the cancellation of the paper dented the school’s reputation.
