Acting IGP, James Oppong Boanuh, has dispatched a team of detectives to Manso Nkwanta, in the Ashanti Region, to unmask and arrest the killers of the late Corporal Bernard Antwi.
Corporal Antwi was, reportedly, shot dead by some unknown assailants at Abodom Dome in Manso Nkwanta on Monday evening.
His killers, who are still at large, are said to have fled the crime scene with the AK47 assault rifle of the deceased policeman.
A credible police source has told THE NEW PUBLISHER that the IGP and the entire police hierarchy are not happy about the death of the corporal.
In this regard, the IGP has decided to send a team of special detectives from the police headquarters in Accra to the area to apprehend those behind the killing of the officer.
Meanwhile, the Ashanti Regional Police Command has said four suspects, including two females, are being questioned over the killing.
During a press conference on Wednesday, ACP David Agyeman Agyem, the Deputy Ashanti Regional Police Commander, urged members of the public to volunteer information, if they have, to arrest the killers.
