Special voting for the referendum towards the creation of the six new regions is underway across various parts of the country.
Those qualified to vote include personnel of the various security services who fall within the respective proposed regions and personnel of other state agencies will be on duty on the Thursday December 27, when the exercise will take place.
The six proposed regions are Oti, North East, Savannah, Ahafo, Bono East and Western North.
The EC boss Jean Mensa earlier indicated to the media that, All is set for the December 27 referendum on the creation of six new regions.
According to her, the issues for determination at the referendum, as required by law, are whether those voters support the creation of a particular proposed region.
The EC boss however explained that eligible voters would be expected to vote for or against the question, “Are you in favour of the creation of the region? Yes or No.
“The associated ballot colour for Yes on each ballot paper is yellow and that of No is brown. Registered voters within the proposed regions are to thumbprint in the portion provided on each ballot paper by voting Yes or No and not both,”- she added.
