Creative Arts Fund to Be Ready This Year

The Creative Arts Industry has received a major boost as President Akufo Addo has announced that the foundation for the passing of the Creative Arts Fund Bill has been laid.

According to him, this would enable creative artists access funds to boost their arts.

He disclosed this at the State of Nations Address held in Accra yesterday at the Parliament House.

“The foundations to enable creative artists access funds to boost their arts have been laid. I am very much aware that we have to create space and atmosphere for the creative artist,” he stressed.

Touching on tourism, he announced that 241-acre Accra marine drive project will generate thousands of jobs for the local community.

He mentioned that not only will it generate jobs but will also position Ghana as a key tourism destination.

According to him there is the need to build Ghana where tourist can feel at home and we can boast of saying “I was in Ghana”.

He recalled on December 15, 2017 where he joined the chiefs and his people of Osu and Gbese to cut the sod for the 241-acre Accra marine project.
