Dad Kills Wife, Child …Uses Son’s Blood For Juju In Talensi

The Upper East District Police has arrested a 35-year-old man, Collins Yagbil, who butchered his daughter and wife to death and used their innocent blood  for rituals at his fetish shrine in Kulpelga in Talensi.

The suspect who is currently being interrogated by the Regional Criminal Investigation Department (CID) was arrested on Thursday afternoon after he mysteriously dragged his 8-year-old son into a shrine to sacrifice him to his idols and deities.

After an attempt to slash the throat of the boy and spill the blood on the gods, the little girl screamed which angered the father to behead and cut off both hands of the little girl.

Sensing danger, his wife attempted to shout to draw the attention of their neighbours but was attacked by the husband and beheaded as well.

Police, however, reveals that the boy is in critical condition and has been admitted at the Bolgatanga Regional Hospital.

His house which also served as the shrine has also been burnt down by angry community members in the heat of the raging tension between families of the suspect and his murdered wife.

The NEW PUBLISHERS sources at the community, however, reveal that calm has returned to the area following the arrest of Collins.

Meanwhile, the bodies of the wife and the about two-year-old daughter have been deposited at the Bolgatanga Teaching Hospital mortuary pending autopsy.

The situation has led to a scuffle between the woman’s families who are in-laws to the suspect while an initial attempt to storm the community to lynch Collins was fiercely resisted by the community members.
