Former Ghana youth striker Dauda Mohammed sustained concussion during Vitesse Arnhem’s 4-1 win over NAC Breda in the Dutch Eredivisie on Saturday.
Dauda, who broke his goal-scoring duck for the Vitas in last week’s 3-0 win against Emmen FC, was oozing with confidence after starting the game against Breda on a brighter note.
But the 21-year-old’s evening was truncated after suffering concussion three minutes after the hour mark following a serious fall.
He initially wanted to continue playing, but coach Leonid Slutsky did not want to take a risk by replacing him with Thomas Buitink.
The former Asante Kotoko marksman will undergo further test on Sunday to determine the extent of the injury.
