PUBLIC WORKERS AT the Ahafo Ano South-East District, in the Ashanti Region, have been urged to deliver at their full limit to help accelerate the growth of the area.
Thomas Owusu Ansah, the Chief Executive of the district, giving the advice, stated emphatically that efforts of every Ghanaian was required to help develop the country.
In this regard, he has charged workers in his district to eschew laziness and backbiting. He urged them to rather unite and embrace hard work to help develop the area.
Speaking during a staff durbar at Adugyama, the capital of the district, he said he has plans to support and motivate workers of his assemby to work for the growth of the area.
For instance, Owusu Ansah announced that he has decided to use his own money to sponsor best worker in the district to travel abroad as a reward for hard work.
“Since I assumed office as the DCE, I have realised that some of you are doing marvelously well. So at the end of this year, I have handsome reward for three outstanding staff.
“I can assure you, one of these three staff I have identified will be sponsored to a trip outside Ghana. This is my personal initiative to help improve hard work here”, he said.
Significantly, the meeting was held mainly to encourage the staff to increase their productivity. The District Coordinating Director, Kaleem Abdallah Adam and other dignitaries were present.
Continuing, Owusu Ansah said he has vision to make the
Ahafo Ano South-East District more developed and prosperous during his tenure so the workers should help him.
On his part, Abdallah Adam charged the staff to “uphold and defend the code of conduct for the Ghana Civil Service at all times to help improve the image of the service”.
