DCE Spews Insults on Radio
THE DISTRICT Chief Executive (DCE) for Atwima Nwabiagya in the Ashanti Region, Amoah Awuku, on Monday, became the talk of town in Kumasi for negative reasons after he lost his cool and started to yell insulting language during a live radio interview on Nhyira FM
The government appointee, during the interview described one ‘Yes Man’, a leading New Patriotic Party (NPP) member at Atwima Nwabiagya as “stupid”.
Yes Man had accused Hon. Awuku of frustrating his attempt to get a copy of the NPP polling station nomination forms at Atwima Nwabiagya during party’s elections, recently.
After Yes Man made the allegation on Nhyira FM, the host of the show, Kofi Asante Ennin, decided to call Hon. Awuku on phone to get his side of the issue so as to balance the discussion.
But the listeners of the programme and even the host of the show were shocked as the DCE started his remarks by spewing unprintable words at Yes Man, live on radio.
“Yes Man is stupid”, Awuku charged when he came on air. The (DCE) was prepared to spill more venom but the host of the show quickly intervened to help stop more insults.
The DCE’s unprovoked attacks got Yes Man infuriated so he also responded in a similar fashion as he labeled Hon. Awuku as a thief and a fraudster, who has been arrested severally. The allegation was however not backed by any evidence.
At this moment things were getting out of hands so Mr. F.F. Anto, the First Vice National Chairman of the NPP, quickly intervened by ordering the two men to apologize to each, which they did to ensure peace.
