Decomposed baby found in refuse dump

AN ALMOST decomposed body of a baby, believe to be one-month old, has been found in a heap of rubbish at Agogo Ahenbronun in the Ashanti region, THE NEW PUBLISHER has gathered.

The discovery of the dead baby has sparked anger among residents of Agogo Ahenbronun in the Asante Akyem North District in the Ashanti Region.

Some residents of the peaceful community were dumping garbage at the refuse dump site on Friday when one of them spotted the lifeless body of the decomposed baby.

Alarm was instantly blew and within some few minutes, a sea of people had gathered at the refuse dump site to catch a glimpse of the unfortunate toddler.

Eye witnesses disclosed to the paper that some body parts of the baby had been totally rotten, an indication that the baby may have been dumped for a couple of days or weeks.

What might have influenced the persons behind the horrific act was not readily known but people raised all sorts of speculations including economic hardship.

The matter was reported to the police, who sent some of their personnel to the the scene, who after taken some notes, took the body away to the morgue.

A police source noted that investigations to find the person who dumped them baby in the refuse dump was underway. The baby has since been buried.
