Black Stars captain Andre Dede Ayew has landed in Istanbul, Turkey for discussions with Turkish top flight side Fatih Karagümrük over a deal.
This is according to French football outlet FootMercato Editor-In-Chief Denis Sebastien who added in his statement on his official X (formerly Twitter) page that the former West Ham United player is courting interest from another Turkish team.
However, the French manager stated nothing is finalized yet between Ayew’s camp and Fatih Karagümrük. Ayew has played in Turkey before after spending the 2018-2019 season with Fenerbache.
Ayew remains unattached to any club after becoming a free agent following the conclusion of his short stay with Nottingham Forest in the 2022-2023 season.
Dede Ayew failed to score in 13 games for Forest after joining the team from Qatari side Al-Sadd in the middle of last season.
The 33 year old played a minor role in Ghana’s 3-1 win over Liberia in an international friendly game at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Ayew is well traveled after having spells with Olympique Marseille, Swansea City and Lorient and has played in three FIFA World Cups for Ghana.
