Defunct Capital Bank Manager Turns Pork Seller
A one-time manager at the defunct Capital Bank, Raymond Danquah, now sells grilled pork for a living.
According to him, he failed to land another job in the banking sector, hence his reason to venture into pork business.
He revealed this in a yet to be aired documentary on Joy News.
Raymond Danquah was a manager at the Capital Bank before its license was revoked by the Central Bank a year ago together with UT bank over financial insolvency.
He now grills pork for sale at events as their benefits remains unpaid a year after the bank’s collapse.
Meanwhile, another former manager of the same bank (Capital bank), Edem Adimako, has also become an Uber driver.
In an interview on Joy FM, he questioned the supervisory system of the Bank of Ghana in light of the recent collapse of local banks.
According to him, it is surprising that the supervisory department of the BoG carries out a quarterly audit of the banks every year yet failed to see the infractions until things got out of hand.
“During the various banks’ crisis period, the BoG gave them bailout money without finding out what they were using the monies for.
“If I give you a loan, I should be able to know what you are using it for and not look on as you waste it. Who was supposed to check to see what the banks were using the money for?” he quizzed.
