Gospel Songstress, Diana Hamilton has endorsed Abena Ruthy to become the next 2nd Vice President of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA).
MUSIGA has set aside June 26, as a day to elect new executives as Incumbent Bice Osei Kuffour brings his second term in office to a close.
Among those aspiring to lead MUSIGA, the Gospel Artist Of The Year at the just ended Vodafone Ghana Music Awards believes Abena Ruthy stands tall on the basis of how well she has managed her several businesses including her talent as a musician over the period.
The reigning gospel artiste of the year believes that entrusted with the position of 2nd Vice President of MUSIGA, Abena Ruthy will excel by bringing her expertise to bare.
“I do support Abena Ruthy in her quest to run for 2nd Vice President of MUSIGA; I think she has done well. Her dedication to gospel music over the period has been of great value. Her commitment to women in gospel music has been phenomenon as well. I think on her experience in the Industry, members of MUSIGA voting her into power won’t be a bad idea.” she told thepublisheronline.com.
A five-member committee to supervise the elections has been put in place.
Abena Ruthy is facing stiff competition from Deborah Freeman. Diana Hamilton’s endorsement comes in support with many backing from several media personalities rallying their support for the talented musician.
Born Ruth Benny Wood, Abena Ruthy undoubtedly came into the music scene in 2013 with an album ‘My Thought’ and in 2016 ‘Higher Praise’ which made her stand tall in the music industry.
Under the umbrella of Media Excel management, Abena Ruthy has ‘Waye Ade3’ as her latest single in the year 2019.
The song released months ago has gained momentum and is currently making some massive improvement on the airways
