HEALTHCARE DELIVERY at the Methodist Hospital, Ankaase, risks suffering a major setback if government does not intervene, as medical personnel at the facility are threatening to boycott work.
Health workers such as medical doctors, nurses, pharmacists and others, have complained that their lives are in danger, following the continuous nature of robbery attacks at Ankaase, targeted at the hapless health workers.
According to them, most of their colleagues have become victims to robbery attacks since the start of 2020, with the straw that broke the camel’s back being the killing of one Stephen Nyamekye.
The deceased was a Biomedical Scientist at the Methodist Hospital Ankaase. He was returning from an official duty when armed robbers shot him on March 28, 2020, leading to his death.
Dr. Agnes Amankwa Attah, speaking on behalf of the health workers, during a press conference, said Sekyere died at KATH in April 10, 2020, leaving behind a pregnant wife and two children
