Don Bortey Flirts With Sharks

FORMER HEARTS of Oak’s talisman, Bernard Don Bortey, is reported to be on the cards of premiership campaigners, Elmina Sharks.

The young club is said to be willing to beef up its squad with the inclusion of Bortey, who has immense experience in the game.

Even though no deal had been sealed, checks by THE PUBLISHER SPORTS indicate that the striker and Sharks Management are in fruitful talks.

Looking at the progress made so far, it won’t be surprising if the Elmina-based club announces, in the coming days, that they have secured the services of Bernard Don Bortey.

Bortey, it would be recalled, became a household name in the Ghana league, whilst playing for Ghapoha FC some seasons back.

He then switched to Accra Hearts of Oak where his talent blossomed, making him a popular name in the country.

Then nicknamed ‘The Serial Killer”, the player won several titles with Accra Hearts of Oak on the domestic and African stage.

Sources say he is willing to re-launch his amazing career and therefore sees the Sharks as the best platform to re-launch his ambition.
