Don’t Be A Coward, Tell Ghanaians You Have Mental Issues – Presenter Tells Okomfuo Kwadee

Broadcast journalist, Bismark Junior has advised hip life artist, Jerry Anaba, popularly known in music scenes as Okomfuo Kwadee to be bold enough to tell Ghanaians the truth about his mental state, www.zylofonmediaonline.com reports.!

A couple of years ago, the news of the deteriorating mental state of the musician as a result of drug abuse, which led to his admission to a rehabilitation facility broke.

Several years down the line, the owner of the Willing Ways rehab facility, one Maame Abena Manu, in an interview on E-base TV, says Kwadee has been abandoned by family and management for over five years.

Though Kwadee, in a social media post has boycotted these claims, Bismark, host of E-Base on Taabea TV has affirmed it.

He told Sammy Flex that as part of their campaign against the abuse of tramadol, Kwadee and Maame Abena were to take their turn to be interviewed on the show, but the musician refused to show up.

“The lady who owns the center was the only one who came on the show and according to her, Kwadee’s family have abandoned him”, he stated.

He further alluded that, the center is solely responsible for feeding, clothing and providing other necessities for Kwadee.

He called the “Menie” hitmaker a coward for trying to hide the truth from Ghanaians and urged him to educate the youth with his experience.
“He is a public figure, God knows the number of lives he can touch with his story. He is a coward for failing to do so”, he added.

Okomfuo Kwadee went off the scene for a couple of years due to alleged mental ailment but bounced back on 2012 with an Album titled “Menie”.
He is celebrated for his story telling style of rendition and unique lyrics.
