Former Special Prosecutor, Martin Amidu has warned Assin Central lawmaker Kennedy Agyapong to desist from degrading his name to the public else he would be pushed to speak publicly about issues surrounding his resignation.
This comes after the lawmaker in an interview on Accra-based Net2TV alleged that Martin Amidu referred to by many as Citizen Vigilante has a medical condition which makes him not mentally stable.
He said the Bawku Central MP Mahama Ayariga wanted to make the condition public during his vetting for Special Prosecutor but was stopped by the NDC leader John Dramani Mahama.
Kennedy Agyapong dared him to make the medical records from Germany public.
But speaking in an exclusive interview with Citi FM, Martin Amidu said there have been attempts to denigrate him over his work on the Agyapa Royalties deal.
“Kennedy Agyapong is known in Ghana as someone who spews lies at any person of integrity who tries to fight corruption. So I am not surprised that he stoop that low to make accusations without any foundation.”
“I have never been to Germany on any occasion and let alone for a medical check, therefore, his allegations are false and if he has any document to the contrary he should produce them because my passports are available as evidence.”
