Don’t Look Down On Chiefs – Asokwa MCE Warns Assemblymen
THE MUNICIPAL Chief Executive of Asokwa, Hon. Akwannuasa Gyimah, has warned assemblymen in his municipality to always give maximum respect to traditional leaders.
Hon. Akwannuasa, who was delivering his maiden address to the General Assembly of Asokwa Municipal Assembly, described chiefs as key development agents in the municipality who deserved respect and courtesies from the people.
“I should again be grateful if you could respect all our development partners in order to get good relationship with them. Typical example is chiefs, the clergy and unit committees, among others”.
He noted that the assemblymen could not develop the young municipality all by themselves, and urged them to work hand in hand with the traditional authority and other staff of the assembly.
As a young assembly, he admitted that Asokwa Municipal Assembly lacked in areas such as logistics and human resource, but was quick to add that plans are in the pipeline to tackle those challenges.
