The senior National soccer team, Black Stars of Ghana head coach, Milovan Rajevac has said the team’s poor performance at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations is due to the inability to have a player with the abilities of goal scoring like Asamoah Gyan.
Speaking ahead of Ghana’s last group game against Comoros, the Serbian said he has come back to meet a completely different squad compared to the 2010 team.
When asked why his team is struggling, Rajevac said, “…communication is not a problem and they understand me very well. Just didn’t have enough time to prepare the team,” he said.
“We don’t have the same team like 2010. Not enough time for preparations. We don’t have a player like Asamoah Gyan,” he added.
In another development, he has promised the team will fight till the very end and give off their best against Comoros to secure victory.
“We will fight until the last moment in every match, for us, it is important that we still have a chance to qualify and we are all aware of that.” Rajevac said.
“We will do our best, we will motivate the players, we are all aware how important this is and we don’t want to go home.
“We want to stay in the competition and we will do everything in our power to make it happen.”
