Dr. Nyarkotey Wins 40under40 Achievers Awards
The Founder of the Dr. Nyarkotey College of Holistic Medicine, Dr Raphael Nyarkotey Obu, has grabbed for himself, an enviable spot on the prestigious 40 Under 40 Award winners list.
The renowned Holistic Medical Practitioner and prostate cancer researcher on Saturday, went home with an award in the education category―a category that was highly contested.
40under40 award is Organised by Xodus Communications in partnership with Ministry of Business Development, British Council, GHL Bank among many others with the sole aim to identify, honour and celebrate inspirational and successful young Ghanaians.
The awardees were expected to be below the age of 40 and should have excelled in their respective areas of operation.
At the age of 33, Dr. Nyarkotey has established the first ever Africa’s Holistic Medical School in Ghana called Nyarkotey College of Holistic Medicine (Africa’s first Alternative Medicine University) and affiliated to Da Vinci College of Holistic Medicine, Larnaca city, Cyprus.
The college which is recognized and approved by the Traditional Medicine Practice Council (TMPC) of the Ministry of Health, has made a remarkable stride in giving quality education is traditional and holistic medicine.
The awards identified 40 industries and selected 40 young achievers who were duly awarded.
Dr. Nyarkotey Obu becomes first Shai-Osudoku youth to win this National prestigious award.
For the renowned Holistic Medical practitioner, he could only have gotten this far with the help of God and through determination and self-discipline.
“I accepted Jesus Christ at the Holy Ghost Temple of the International Central Gospel Church…and He became the foundation of my achievements,” Dr. Obu revealed.
He advised the youth not to waste their time on social media but rather use the internet to upgrade themselves.
Just after receiving this award, Dr. Obu has yet again been selected as a winner of the Akro Excellence Award.
He is being honoured for being the best Ga Dangme Young Achiever.
