The Power Distribution Services (PDS) has finally released a timetable for its power rationing to guide consumers to plan their daily activities.
The timetable follows a directive by the Energy Minister, Mr John Peter Amewu, to the power distributors to inform end-users about the periods that they will not have electricity within the 12-day shortfall.
The affected regions in the first official load shedding are, Greater Accra, Ashanti Region, Eastern Region, Central Region, Western Region and Volta Region.
In a statement, PDS noted that “since generation deficit varies, PDS may review the outages depending on the situation upstream [and some] areas may experience outages.”
The recent bout of challenges in electricity supply come barely two weeks after the Energy Minister John Peter Amewu assured that the situation will stabilize in five days.
