Dzifa Gunu, Adwoa Agyapomaa Ansong Head Ghana Digital Centre

Public Relations Specialist, Dzifa Gunu and Adwoa Agyapomaa Ansong has been appointed as Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Deputy Chief Executive Officer (CEO) respectively for the Ghana Digital Centre.

The appointment was made by President John Mahama.

Their appointments would focus on expanding digital opportunities, fostering innovation, and empowering the next generation of tech leaders with a strong commitment to collaboration and growth, which would set to drive impactful initiatives which is expected to shape Ghana’s digital transformation.

In a statement of appreciation from Dzifa Gunu, he expressed excitement over the appointment and said, he will be committed to working diligently to help drive innovation and accelerate the growth of Ghana’s digital economy

His post reads, “I am deeply honored and privileged to be appointed as the Acting Chief Executive Officer of Ghana Digital Centres Limited by His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, President of the Republic of Ghana. This opportunity to serve and contribute to Ghana’s digital transformation is truly humbling.

“I am committed to working diligently to help drive innovation and accelerate the growth of Ghana’s digital economy and to truly actualize the vision behind the setting up of the Center by His Excellency President Mahama in November 2016. Thank you, Mr. President, for your trust and confidence in me.”

In another development, Adwoa Agyapomaa Ansong indicated in her appreciation post that, she is ready to work towards President Mahama’s vision for the Ghana Digital Centres.

Her post reads “Yesterday I received with humility and immense gratitude, confirmation from the Presidency that I have been appointed as the Acting Deputy CEO of the Ghana Digital Centres. I have subsequently had a very productive conversation with my boss, the appointed Acting CEO, Mr. Dzifa Gunu who has expressed his commitment and desire to take me under his wings as we work towards President Mahama’s vision for the Ghana Digital Centres. This will be under the supervision and direction of the sector Minister, the knowledgeable and industrious Minister of Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, the Honorable Sam Dzata George (MP)

“I am immensely grateful to the President of the Republic His Excellency John Dramani Mahama for this honour done me and promise to work diligently and conscientiously to deliver on this mandate, together with my boss. I am extremely grateful to God for how far He has brought me. May His name be praised. I am indebted to my mum and my family for supporting my political journey and will work hard to make them proud.

The Ghana Digital Centers Limited was incorporated in 2017 as an agency under the Ministry of Communication and Digitization mandated to create the right environment for digital innovation and entrepreneurship in Ghana’s Technology ecosystem.

Currently, GDCL manages and operates the Accra Digital Centre (ADC), a Government of Ghana ICT/BPO Centre or Mini Technology Park, established to harness the digital potential of Ghana by driving digital innovation entrepreneurship and creation of digital and ancillary jobs for the youth by hosting Tech firms and Digital Start-ups.
